The MAGC Research Program, part of the UK-IFC Market Accelerator for Green Construction (MAGC), aims to understand the actual energy and water consumption in EDGE certified buildings and also improve the predictive accuracy of the EDGE rating tool. The World Bank, through its subsidiary IFC, is collaborating with University College London (UCL) to conduct this research in three emerging markets: Indonesia, Colombia, and South Africa. In Indonesia, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) is leading the project with Universitas Trisakti as the local collaborator.

In this project, our objective is:

• measure actual performance of EDGE certified and baseline buildings
• collect energy behavior data from the occupants

In this project we use LoRaWAN sensors to remotely monitor the data. We also extensively coordinate with Indonesian housing developers to participate in our research.

This project is funded by Sustainable Energy Transition Indonesia (SETI). It aims to obtain baseline energy consumption across building sectors (government, commercial, and residential) in Surabaya. Baseline energy consumption data will provide insights to future energy management and planning in building sector within Surabaya municipality. My role includes:

• Conduct descriptive statistic analysis on baseline energy consumptions across different building sectors
• Generate insights on carbon emission from cumulative and breakdown energy consumption across different building sectors in Surabaya

The consultant's role in this project involves several key tasks: conducting research, performing field testing, collecting data, analyzing findings, and providing recommendations for ICAL (Integrated Climate Adaptation and Livelihood) packages. The main goals are outlined below:

• Measure the effectiveness of heat reduction strategies
• Identify cost-effective solutions

In this project, aligning with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing goals to provide green housing for the subsidized communities, I am contracted to assist the project through ADB's funds.

As part of its efforts to accelerate green financing adoption in Indonesia, the Directorate General of Infrastructure Financing (DJPI) commissioned us to develop a prototype of low-income housing that meets the green building criteria outlined by PERMEN PUPR No. 21/2021 (emphasis on low cost, energy efficient, water saving, and eco-friendly materials). As a team, we develop design with passive design features, this prototype reduces technical barriers for low-income housing developer that want to adopt green building certification. This program aims to increase access to green financing programs. This will directly facilitate the development of environmentally sustainable housing for low-income populations in Indonesia.

Under the Climate Action Implementation (CAI) Programme in Southeast Asia, we were hired by C40 Cities to conduct energy audit and green building assessment on two government buildings in Jakarta. This project required multi-stakeholder collaboration as we work with teams from various backgrounds. The activity was conducted through field measurements, data verification and on-site observation to assess the performance of the building against national green building policy (PERMEN PUPR No. 21/2021). We successfully delivered the projects on schedule. The outcomes of these projects include assessment documents and energy manager training programs, which will aid Jakarta in enhancing the performance of its public buildings. In the future, more public buildings will be assessed, serving as role models for green building implementation in Jakarta.

As a technical expert at IREEM, I conduct analyses on the energy use intensity of various types of buildings in Indonesia. These analyses utilize data from previous field reports. The building typologies under examination include hospitality, healthcare facilities, commercial shopping centers, offices, and public buildings. The results of these analyses will serve as benchmarks for energy consumption in Indonesian buildings. Furthermore, they will provide the technical foundation for drafting energy consumption policies for buildings in Indonesia.

Commissioned by C40 cities to conduct baseline study and policy analysis of green building regulations in DKI Jakarta. Our task is a) to measure the baseline energy consumption in commercial and public buildings in Jakarta and b) to review DKI Jakarta's initiatives and recommend future directions to support DKI Jakarta's commitment to reduce its energy use, water consumption, and carbon emission by 30% in 2030 from Business as Usual.

We worked as an in-country team (led by Inovasi Dinamika Pratama) with Trama TecnoAmbiental to provide technical advice for ETP and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR). Within 3 months (October - December 2023), we prepared a document that outlines general strategy in investment framework to support the energy efficiency and energy management projects in Indonesia. We use desk research and expert interviews to effectively gather the required evidences to support our findings. This document will support the NDC achievements under energy sector that is supervised by the MEMR. The project was financed by UNOPS.

Commissioned by the government of DKI Jakarta to conduct study on the green building regulations in DKI Jakarta. Our task includes providing technical expertise to the spatial planning agency.

Commissioned by the Directorate General of Infrastructure Financing, we worked as a team of private consultants. Our main task was to compose a practical guide for low-income housing to get certified as a green building.
